Pro-freedom leaders in IHK welcome Pak PM’s statement

Srinagar, May 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, pro-liberation leaders have welcomed Pakistan Prime Minister, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani’s statement on Kashmir, in which he has stated that the sacrifices of Kashmiris for achieving their right to self-determination would not go waste.

Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said this while addressing the joint session of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Wednesday. He had further said, "Struggle of Kashmiris is not directed against anyone but is aimed at achieving the right to self-determination that was promised by the United Nations. This is a question of their rights and Kashmiris should get these rights," adding that Pakistan is committed to a peaceful and negotiated settlement of the Kashmir dispute by engaging all stakeholders and concerned circles.

Senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani said, “I appreciate the Pakistan PM’s stand for backing the right of self-determination to Kashmiris. This is the only solution for Kashmir dispute.”

Welcoming the statement, senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah said that Pakistan has always supported the Kashmir cause morally, diplomatically as well as politically and Pakistan PM’s latest statement endorses it.
