Persons involved in fake encounter case in IHK remanded

Srinagar, July 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a court has sent two persons, involved in the killing of a labourer, Muhammad Ashraf Shaikh, in a fake encounter, to 14-day judicial remand.

The duo was produced before the District and Sessions Court, Bandipore and sent to judicial remand till July 29. During the previous hearing, they had told the court that they only brought the labourer to Bandipore and it were the troops of 3 JAKLI who had shot him dead in their presence.

Muhammad Ashraf Shaikh of Larnoo, Kokernag in Islamabad was arrested from his rented accommodation at Dalgate in Srinagar on June 03 this year and was subsequently shot dead in Bandipore.

Meanwhile, the parents of a youth, Hussain Ganai, arrested by the personnel of Special Operation Group, Bandipore said that their son was innocent and the SOG personnel were implicating him in a false case.
