Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq visited the residences of two youth Feroz Ahmad and Sameer Ahmad, who were killed due to indiscriminate firing of Indian troops during the protests against the illegal transfer of land.
The APHC Chairman while expressing solidarity with the bereaved families in Karfali Mohalla and Hawal area said that the sacrifices of Kashmiris have centre staged the Kashmir dispute and added that blood of martyrs would never be allowed to go waste.
Earlier, thousands of protesters led by the APHC Chairman marched from Mirwiaz Manzil to Karfali Mohalla through Bohri Kadal raising slogans in favour of Islam, freedom and Pakistan and against India.
Meanwhile, Indian troops and police thrashed media persons at various places while performing their professional duty during the ongoing protests. One such incident took place near Bemina in Srinagar when a procession was intercepted by the personnel of Centre Reserve Police Force (CRPF) near Jhelum Valley Medical College and subjected the protestors to severe thrashing and within no time started firing bullets. When the CRPF personnel saw some photo journalists taking pictures, they turned towards them and started beating them with batons and gun butts. They even didn’t spare an AFP photographer, Tauseef Ahmad.
