India urged to give up intransigence
Srinagar, June 29 (KMS): In Srinagar, thousands of people participated in a march today, from Mirwaiz Manzil to Fateh Kadal, which was led by the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to protest against India’s illegal occupation of Kashmir and the recent orders of land transfer to non-Kashmiris.
The protesters raised full-throated anti-India, pro-Pakistan and pro-liberation slogans. Addressing a mammoth gathering in Khanqah-e-Mualla at the end of the march, the APHC Chairman urged India to read the writing on the wall, take cognisance of Kashmiris’ resentment against its policies and immediately revoke the illegal transfer of land. He maintained that the people of Kashmir are united and organized in their resistance against India's intransigent approach towards the resolution of Kashmir dispute. The Mirwaiz supported the call of Action Committee Against Land Transfer to gather at Jamia Masjid on Tuesday for a big protest demonstration against the land transfer. He appealed people of Kashmir to continue their protests till India gives up its plans of changing the demographic composition of the territory.
The puppet administration has put the APHC leaders Shabbir Ahmed Shah and Nayeem Ahmed Khan under house arrest in Srinagar to prevent them from leading protest demonstrations against the continued Indian state terrorism.
The Indian authorities have imposed curfew at Bemina, Bhaghat, Hyderpora, Chanpora, Rambagh, Natipora, Solian, Barzalla, Batamaloo, Qamarwari, Pampore and Pulwama.
Indian troops subjected demonstrators to brute force at Watergam, Sopore, Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara, Ganderbal, Chadoora, Habba Kadal, Rajouri Kadal, Bohri Kadal and Saraf Kadal. Indiscriminate firing, heavy lathi charge and excessive teargas shelling was used to disperse the protesters.
Complete spontaneous shut down continued on seventh day, today, all across occupied Kashmir against the illegal transfer of land.
