Mirwaiz condemns attack on Muslims in Jammu region

Srinagar, July 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned attacks by Hindu fanatics on Muslims’ houses and shops in Jammu, Rajouri, Samba and Bhadarwah.

Addressing a press conference in Srinagar the APHC Chairman said that Indian agencies in collaboration with Hindu communal parties were hell bent upon creating communal discord amongst people of Kashmir. He maintained that the people of Kashmir would not allow such nefarious designs to succeed. Mirwaiz announced that July 13, the martyrs’ day, will be observed as Youm-e-Istaqlal.

Meanwhile the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani have appealed the people to massively march towards Dargah Hazratbal in Srinagar, on Friday (today), to convey the message to the world that the Kashmiris and their liberation leaders are solidly united to achieve their right to self determination. The APHC Chairman will lead a procession from Jamia Masjid to Hazratbal after Juma prayer. The occupation authorities have put Syed Ali Gilani under house arrest to prevent him from leading the march.

The APHC spokesman said in a statement in Srinagar today that Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Syed Ali Gilani will jointly address a big public gathering at Hazratbal on the occasion.
