Srinagar, February 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities have booked Hurriyet leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, Masarrat Alam Butt, under the black law, Public Safety Act, for the seventh time since September 2008.

Masarrat Alam Butt was booked under the PSA seventh time in a row on February 2 and as per the current detention orders passed by the District Magistrate Srinagar, Me’raj Kakroo, he had been ordered to be lodged at District Jail Kathua in Jammu. The High Court had quashed his sixth PSA on January 1, 2010 and ordered his release from Central Jail Srinagar on the same day.

It is to mention here that the Muslim League Chairman was first booked under the PSA in September 2008 during the uprising against the transfer of Kashmiris’ land to non-Kashmiris.
