Martyrdom week in IHK from tomorrow

Pak’s support to Kashmir appreciated

Srinagar, May 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, martyrdom week will be observed from tomorrow to pay homage to Kashmiri martyrs and reaffirm the resolve to continue the liberation struggle till it reaches its logical end.

The announcement of the observance of the week was made by the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in Srinagar. He said that the week would be marked with meetings of Quran Khawani, setting up of blood bank, seminars and public gatherings.

A complete strike will be observed on the martyrdom anniversaries of leading Hurriyet leaders, Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, APHC leader, Bilal Ghani Lone, in a media interview in Srinagar appreciated Pakistan’s moral, diplomatic and political support to the Kashmir cause and hoping that the support will continue in the future.

In Srinagar, a delegation of US Embassy comprising Pushpunder Dhillon and Kaulash Jah held a meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik. Apprising the delegation about the present situation of occupied Kashmir, the JKLF Chairman urged them to help stop human rights violations in the occupied territory.

Expressing deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the Jaipur serial bombing, the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other Kashmiri leaders, Syed Ali Gilani and Muhammad Yasin Malik, in their separate statements, strongly condemned the incident.
