Srinagar, May 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, loss of two sons has left a family of Kichhama village in Baramulla district struggle for their sustenance.
Saja, 70, mother of four sons and a daughter while talking to mediamen said that her one son, Ghulam Mohammad Parray, a driver by profession was killed in a road accident near Ramban area.
Economic compulsions at home forced Saja’s other son, Irshad Ahmad Parray to leave his studies midway and start to assist his family financially by collecting wood from the forest. But in early 2000 he went to the forest to collect the wood and never returned.
Saja said, “Till today I am looking about his whereabouts but nothing is known about him.” Death of two sons jolted the family. “Their death literally turned us blind. My husband, Habibullah Parray, was operated on both eyes,” said Saja, adding that even her eyesight has weakened.
Saja is even fighting the case of the disappearance of her son, Irshad in the court but she is not much optimistic about its outcome.
