Kashmir not part of India: World Bank
Srinagar, December 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, lawyers observed a total boycott of court proceedings, today, to press their demand for an international probe into the molestation and subsequent killing of two women in Shopian by Indian troops.
The boycott call was given by the President of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association, Mian Abdul Qayoom and the Presidents of the Bar Associations of other districts.
Mian Abdul Qayoom told media men that the judiciary in the occupied territory had become subservient to New Delhi rulers and was not expected to deliver justice in the Shopian case. He said that the report compiled by India’s Central Bureau of Investigation was aimed at shielding the involved Indian troops.
On the other hand, the government employees in the occupied territory stayed away from their offices against the anti-people policies of the puppet administration.
Two personnel of Indian police were killed and another injured in an attack at Kadlabal in Pampore.
In a significant development, the World Bank has refused to accept Jammu and Kashmir as an integral part of India. Regarding financing of a key project, the Bank has insisted on a disclaimer from the puppet authorities that the funding of projects in the disputed area should not be used to endorse India’s claim on the territory.
On the other hand, the people in the occupied territory experienced the last night as the coldest of the season so far, with people waking up to frozen taps and slippery icy roads. The minimum temperature was minus 3.4 degree Celsius.
