Srinagar, June 23 (KMS): Senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has emphasised that Indian illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir is the cause of all tragedies for the people of the territory.

Syed Ali Gilani addressing a public gathering at Manchwa in Budgam said that complete withdrawal of Indian troops from the occupied territory was the foremost demand of Kashmiris and until it happened, liberation struggle would continue.

Syed Ali Gilani maintained that the transfer of Kashmiris’ land to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board was intended to change the majority of occupied Kashmir into minority by settling non-state subjects in the territory. He pointed out that protests against the land transfer would continue until the puppet regime revoked the decision.

The senior Hurriyet leader said that India was hatching conspiracies to weaken the ongoing movement. However, he added, the people of occupied Kashmir would thwart such plans.

Rejecting the so-called elections in the territory, Syed Ali Gilani said that the aim of these elections was to fortify India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.
