Srinagar, May 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has emphasised that Kashmiris are the masters of their destiny and they should be given a chance to decide their future themselves.
Syed Ali Gilani was addressing a public gathering in Shopian. He maintained that being the principal party to the dispute, Kashmiris alone could resolve it through their right to self-determination.
Syed Ali Gilani said that India wanted to make Kashmiris economically dependent, adding, “They are looting our resources. We would have extended our trade to the Middle East countries. By occupying our land, India has kept us confined to the occupied territory and if we visit Delhi, we are branded as terrorists there.”
The Hurriyet leader pointed out that the Indian government was using educational institutions to launch cultural aggression in occupied Kashmir and for achieving this purpose it had bolstered and pushed forward people of particular mindset in these institutions. He strongly condemned the puppet administration’s order of directing all heads of educational institutions to send their students to participate in function on the arrival of Indian President’s visit to the held valley. He added that this was a coercion to play with the honour of Kashmiris.
