Shutdown against Indian state terrorism continues
Srinagar, August 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people in a large number will march towards the United Nations Observers’ Office in Srinagar, tomorrow, to draw the world body’s attention towards the economic blockade by the Hindu extremist organisations and use of brute force by Indian troops against peaceful demonstrators.
Call for the march has been given by the Coordination Committee, comprising pro-liberation groups, traders and lawyers, jointly headed by the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani. On the occasion, a memorandum will be presented to the world body regarding the state terrorism unleashed by India in occupied Kashmir.
APHC leader, Ghulam Ahmed Mir in a statement said that people from Rajouri, Thanamandi and Budhal will also hold protest demonstrations, tomorrow, inline with the call given by the Coordination Committee.
Meanwhile, a complete shutdown in the Kashmir Valley continued on the seventh consecutive day, today, to protest against the killing of innocent Kashmiris by Indian troops’ indiscriminate firing. All shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off the roads.
On the other hand, dead body of a civilian was recovered from Cheerji Kinker Top in Kishtwar area. He was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen on Thursday.
