Kashmiris have right to decide fate by themselves

Srinagar, February 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, has said that the Kashmiris are masters of their own destiny and no power on earth can deprive them of their democratic right to decide their future by themselves.

Addressing a function in Gandarbal, today, Professor Butt maintained that the Kashmiris would never cave in to the Indian state terrorism and would continue their liberation struggle until it reached to its logical conclusion.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, addressing a public meeting in Pulwama, said that finding out a lasting solution to the Kashmir dispute as per wishes of the people was imperative for peace in South Asia.

Senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said that the moves for enhancing bilateral trade relations could not reap fruit unless India like Pakistan made sincere efforts to resolve the Kashmir dispute in its historical perspective.

Hurriyet leaders, Yasmeen Raja, Zafar Akbar Butt and Chairman of Kashmir Centre Brussels Barrister, Abdul Majeed Tramboo in their separate statements expressed grave concern over the shifting of illegally detained Kashmiris from Central Jail Srinagar to the jails outside the Kashmir Valley. They sought the intervention of the UN and international human rights organizations to stop the occupation authorities from carrying out their well-hatched conspiracy against the Kashmiri people, particularly the detainees.

On the other hand, an Indian trooper shot dead an officer, Subedar Dilbagh Singh, at his unit in Noushera area of Rajouri district.
