Srinagar, August 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Shah has emphasised that the fresh surge in Kashmiris’ struggle has once again proved that they are determined to continue the resistance till their soil is liberated from Indian bondage.
Talking to media men in Srinagar, today, Shabbir Ahmed Shah maintained that India must take cognisance of the fact that its state terrorism has totally failed in subduing Kashmiris. He appealed the people to massively march towards Eidgah, on Friday, call for which has been given by the Coordination Committee.
Meanwhile, a teenager boy who was injured in Indian troops’ indiscriminate firing on peaceful march towards Line of Control on August 11, succumbed to his injuries in a Srinagar hospital. As dead body of the youth reached his hometown, Zaloora Sopore, people in hundreds came out on the streets and staged demonstrations. They raised high-pitched pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans. Thousands of people took to the streets at Bamina area when the dead body of a Kashmiri truck driver, who had died in a New Delhi hospital due to the burn injuries he sustained during an attack by the Hindu extremists on August 5, arrived there. Anti-India protest was also staged in Panta Choke.
On the other hand, addressing a function in Islamabad, today, the Executive Director of Kashmir Centre Washington, Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai pointed out that without involving the people of Kashmir in the talks process between India and Pakistan no durable solution of the Kashmir dispute could be brought about.
In London, the Executive Director of Kashmir Centre, Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl in a statement paid rich tributes to the martyred APHC leader, Shaikh Abdul Aziz.
