Kashmiris demand their right to self-determination: Gilani

Srinagar, April 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has emphasised that the Kashmiri martyrs’ sacrifices cannot be sold for slogans of development.

Addressing a public gathering in Pulwama, Syed Ali Gilani said that people should stay away from rallies of all pro-India politicians, adding, casting vote would be tantamount to throwing chains of dependence in the necks of children who were yet to born.

Kashmiri Hurriyet leader maintained that Kashmiris had been offering sacrifices for their right to self-determination given to them by the comity of nations, including India, in the UN resolutions.

Coming hard on Peoples’ Democratic Party Patron, Mufti Muhammed Sayeed, Syed Ali Gilani said that he (Mufti) was floating slogans of self-rule, demilitarization and allowing Pakistani currency here just to betray people, adding, “When Mufti was Indian Home Minister there was large scale massacre of Kashmiris and chastity of woman was outraged, but he never uttered a singe word.”
