Srinagar, July 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, terming the ongoing freedom struggle as indigenous, senior Kashmir Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has asked people to turn to Dargah Hazratbal on Friday (today) to demonstrate unity and offer gratitude for the successful protests which resulted in the revocation of the land transfer order.
Syed Ali Gilani while addressing a press conference in Srinagar said that India was projecting Kashmiris’ genuine struggle as terrorism, but the recent peoples’ movement against land transfer proved it wrong. He added that people of the occupied territory had been supporting the ongoing liberation movement as it represented their wishes and aspirations.
Syed Ali Gilani said that the puppet administration was responsible for the casualties during the nine-day protests. “People were demonstrating peacefully but it were the occupation authorities which used force killing five people and injuring hundreds of them,” he added.
The Hurriyet leader termed the situation in some Jammu localities as a matter of grave concern where Muslims are being attacked by Hindu extremists. He pointed out that Hindu fanatic organizations were trying to communalise the situation.
Syed Ali Gilani deplored that some Hindu groups like Rashtriya Savek Sang and Bajrang Dal were imparting arms training to girls and young boys in many areas of Jammu and flaming violence in the name of village defence committees, but the puppet regime was watching as a mute spectator. He urged the regime to take notice of this serious issue, as it has send alarm bells ringing across the occupied territory.
