Srinagar, April 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the pro-India National Conference (NC) has urged the need of Kashmiris’ inclusion in the ongoing dialogue process between India and Pakistan to make it a success.
Former puppet Chief Minister and NC patron, Dr. Farooq Abdullah at a public meeting in Anantnag said, "The leaders of India and Pakistan should take the people of Kashmir along and initiate decisive steps to work out a permanent and everlasting solution to the issue within a time frame.”
Describing the people of Kashmir as an important party to the dispute, the NC Patron said that peace couldn’t be achieved in South Asia without resolving the dispute in accordance with Kashmiris’ aspirations.
Opposing the ban on beaming of Pakistani channels in the occupied territory, Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that it could have a negative impact on the Indo-Pak relations. “Ban on Pakistani channels in Jammu and Kashmir could have a negative impact on Indo-Pak relations. Imposing ban on the channels was unwarranted and Indian government should reconsider its decision,” he added.
