Srinagar, May 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a three-member delegation of the British High Commission met the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Hurriyet leaders, Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, Maulana Abbas Ansari, Bilal Ghani Lone, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi and Fazl Haq Qureshi in Srinagar.

The delegation was headed by Sir Richard Stagg, the British High Commissioner in India. The APHC leaders apprised the delegation about the discovery of unnamed mass graves, human rights violations by Indian troops and the progress in peace talks between India and Pakistan.

The British delegation held a separate meeting with the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik. The JKLF Chairman maintained that peace and security in South Asia could not be ensured without resolving the Kashmir dispute.
