Jammu, December 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), a constituent of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), has welcomed the disclaimer issued by the World Bank officials to the occupation authorities seeking an undertaking that its funding should not be taken as certificate for Jammu and Kashmir being an integral part of India.
The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement, Ghulam Ahmed Mir in a statement issued in Jammu, today, said that the stance taken by the World Bank authorities was based on fact that Jammu and Kashmir was a disputed territory and did not belong to India.
He said that the development was an eye-opener for Indian leaders and they should realise that by deploying more than seven hundred thousand troops, they could not change the legal and political status of Jammu and Kashmir.
Ghulam Ahmad Mir asked Indian leadership to create conducive atmosphere for tripartite dialogue.
