JKLF-R prepares mass petition draft to get Butt’s remains

Srinagar, February 06 (KMS): The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front-R has said that a draft for mass petition has been prepared, which will be signed by the people from all walks of life, to demand of India to hand over Shaheed Maqbool Butt’s remains to the Kashmiris for respectful burial in the occupied territory.

Addressing a news conference in Srinagar, the JKLF-R Chairman, Muhammad Farooq Dar said that on February 11, the 28th Martyrdom Anniversary of Maqbool Butt, the Kashmiris would stage protest demonstrations in all major cities of the world including Brussels, London and Muzaffarabad, besides complete shutdown in occupied Kashmir.

Muhammad Farooq Dar said that Indian army and police officers, whose hands were stained with innocent Kashmiris’ blood, were being rewarded with promotions and medals. He quoted several such examples including the incident of Janglat Mandi, Islamabad in which three innocent Kashmiris were killed being dubbed as militants in a fake encounter.

Brigadier Bikram Singh, the main character directly involved in staging the fake encounter, was awarded not only with medal, but was also promoted to the rank of Major General and now was in-charge of the Eastern Command of Indian Army. Citing media reports, Dar said that he was likely to be tipped as new Indian army chief.
