India’s troops withdrawal announcement rejected
Srinagar, December 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, dozens of people were injured and several private vehicles damaged when Indian troops went berserk in Sopore town, today, while resorting to indiscriminate firing and randomly beating up innocent civilians.
The troops wreaked havoc in a vindictive action after five personnel of India’s Central Reserve Police Force were injured in a blast in the town. The action triggered total shutdown and anti-India protests in the area. The troops in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred one more innocent youth at Kamalkote in Uri.
The All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing a gathering at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, described India’s announcement of the withdrawal of thirty thousand troops as an eyewash, saying that total demilitarisation in Kashmir was imperative for resolving the Kashmir dispute. Senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah led a protest demonstration in Charar-e-Sharief amidst forceful anti-India and pro-liberation slogans.
Talking to media men in Srinagar, today, the President of the Bar Association, Mian Abdul Qayoom demanded an independent international inquiry into the rape and murder of two women by Indian troops in Shopian. JKLF R leader, Javed Ahmad Mir addressing a public gathering at Brath in Sopore, rejected the report of India’s Central Bureau of Investigations regarding the case.
The APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement in Srinagar lauded the role of prominent Kashmiri liberation leader, Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas for Kashmir’s freedom on his 42nd death anniversary, today, The APHC leaders in a meeting in Islamabad, presided over by Convenor Mehmood Ahmad Saghar said that the services of Chaudhary Abbas for the people of Jammu and Kashmir will always remain highly memorable.
