Srinagar, May 29 (KMS): The President of Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union (JNUSU), Sandeep Singh accepting Kashmir as an occupied territory has emphasised that the Kashmir dispute should be resolved keeping in view the aspirations of people of the territory.
A delegation of the JNUSU, Delhi, visited the University of Kashmir to express solidarity with the University students on the humiliation and harassment, they faced, at the hands of Indian police personnel during the recent visit of the Indian President, Pratibha Patil.
Addressed a gathering of hundreds of students here, Singh said, “Student community of the Jawarharlal Nehru University (JNU) is against what is happening in Kashmir, Palestine and Lebanon,” adding, “Nobody can impose mechanical solutions to the conflicts all around.” He termed the harassment meted out to the students as undemocratic and a tool of a repressive regime.
