83 Indian troops commit suicide since Jan 2007
Srinagar, May 8 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian Air Force personnel committed suicide in Pulwama district, today.
The 28-old personnel Krishan Kumar hanged himself at the Awantipore airbase in the district, bringing suicide killings among Indian troops to 83 since January 2007. The Awantipore air force station of Indian army is about 45 km from Srinagar.
Incidents of suicide and fratricidal killings by troops deployed in occupied Kashmir in the last 19 years have posed serious problems to the Indian military authorities.
