Srinagar, March 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a number of media companies providing SMS alerts of daily happenings across the globe have formed union with the name of Association of News Network.

The association in a meeting held here took numerous decisions including the selection of the management and body.

The media groups including Associated Press of India TV (APITV), Agence India Press TV (AIPTV) Live India News Bureau (Live INB) and Valley Media Service (VMS) were also present in the meeting. Ishrat Nazir of APITV took over as President, Sheikh Imran Bashir of AIPTV was elected General Secretary, Inamun Nabi of Live INB will be spokesman and Jasim Rasool of VMS will hold the position of treasure / organiser in News Network Association

As many as 15 SMS providers including JKNN, API, AIPTV, UNS, INA, AWAAZ, AHTRAAF, KMR X-PRESS and FPI attended the first meeting of the Association. »
