IHK fruit growers reject puppet regime’s incentives

Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In wake of economic blockade imposed by rightwing parties in Jammu, the fruit growers of Jammu and Kashmir have rejected the puppet authorities’ offer of ferrying the crop in army trucks to different Indian states.

Convener Coordination Committee of Kashmir Fruit Growers and Dealers Association (KFGDA), Ghulam Rasool Butt said that the authorities have failed to rein in the Hindu extremists and provide security to fruit laden trucks. He maintained that the fruit growers were determined to pursue their program of carrying fruit through Jehlum Valley Road to fruit markets of Muzaffarabad on Monday. “Our program is final and there is no possibility of delaying or cancelling it in any case,” Butt added.

Meanwhile, family members of a Kashmiri truck driver, Muhammad Latif Wani, told a local daily that his condition is critical. Wani, who was attacked by the Hindu extremists, is in coma, battling for his life in the Trauma Centre of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi.
