Jammu, July 19 (KMS): At a time when India and Pakistan hold meetings about confidence building measures, a family of Rajouri district in occupied Kahsmir is being deprived of meeting the relatives across the Line of Control as they have been denied travel documents.
Ahmed Din, 65, who hails from Androoth village of the district said that his elder brother Haji Dil Muhammad crossed to other side of Kashmir in 1965 while his elder sister Ali Begum crossed line of control in 1947 and both of them settled in Mirpur district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Ahmed Din further said that for the past four years he has been moving from pillar to post for the travel documents to meet his relatives but the authorities have not cleared his documents. He pointed out that he provided all the information to the concerned authorities and pleaded for the permit, but to no avail.
Ahmed Din maintained that his brother and sister are about 80 and 90 years old and are ailing and I wish to meet them before it’s too late.
