Srinagar, June 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has threatened to take legal action against the puppet administration if it does not immediately annul its order regarding transfer of land to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.
The Bar President, Nazir Ahmed Ronga was talking to media men in Srinagar after a meeting of the HCBA executive. He said, “Bar will not act as a mute spectator to this issue. We are exploring all options against the land transfer and if the puppet regime does not revoke its order, we will not desist from taking legal recourse.”
Terming the transfer of forestland to the SASB as illegal, Ronga, said, “A conspiracy has been hatched to change the demography, character and status of the occupied territory,” adding, “Kashmiris are known for communal harmony and universal brotherhood. We want to make it clear that we are not against pilgrimage. The pilgrims should be provided all the facilities by concerned departments. But we would not let it happen at the cost of our fragile environment.” He maintained that the Bar would mobilize people from all walks of life in its campaign.
