Srinagar, February 07 (KMS): The High Court Bar Association of occupied Kashmir has condemned the killing of 13 years old student, Zahid Farooq of Brein Nishat, who was recently shot dead by CRPF Personnel.
The High Court Bar Association in a statement issued in Srinagar said that these killings were taking place in the occupied territory in line with a policy devised by the Indian government to subjugate the people fighting for securing their right to self-determination.
“Zahid Farooq’s killing by the Indian forces is seventh incident since January 1, 2010 till date in which young boys especially school-going children had been targeted to death,” the statement added.
The Bar Association called upon the Indian government to desist from perpetuating the policy of genocide of Kashmiri people and take solid steps for resolving the 63 years old Kashmir dispute so that permanent peace could be established in the region. It also appealed the international community to intervene and force India to desist from perpetuating the policy of genocide in occupied Kashmir.
The Bar denounced the arrest and detention of pro-freedom leaders and activists including Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Firdous Ahmad Shah, Rafiq Ahmad Ganai and pointed out that the arrests would not deter the people of Jammu and Kashmir from fighting for liberation of their motherland from Indian bondage. »
