Bilal Lone condemns custodial killing in Kupwara
Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): Senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has taken strong exception to the Indian President, Prathiba Patil’s gesture of wielding a gun during her visit to occupied Kashmir, describing it an irresponsible act.
Syed Ali Gilani while talking to mediamen in Srinagar said that instead of lauding the Indian army personnel she should have tendered an apology for their crimes against humanity. He maintained that India was suffering from arrogance of power and its troops under the protection of draconian laws had been continuously engaged in the genocide of Kashmiris.
Senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmed Shah while talking to different delegations in Samba today maintained that the Indian president was expected to demonstrate an olive branch in her hand to convey the message of peace but her action of wielding the gun was disappointing. Another APHC leader, Bilal Ghani Lone in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the recent custodial killing of a youth and the arrest of two brothers in the Haihama area of Kupwara.
