Hindu extremists to disturb communal harmony in IHK: Gilani

Srinagar, July 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has expressed grave concern over the entry of Hindu suicide squad associated with extremist organisations into Jammu region.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar pointed out that conspiracies are being hatched to damage peace and harmony of the occupied territory adding, “Various Indian communal forces who feel jittery after seeing the fresh sentiments of the people of Kashmir now want to repeat the history of 1947.” He castigated the puppet regime for succumbing to handful Hindu extremists and for not taking serious action against such elements. Syed Ali Gilani appealed to the human rights activists and intellectuals of India to take note of the Hindu extremist organisations active in the territory so as to avert any untoward incident.

Refuting the disinformation campaign that Kashmiris’ movement is communal, the Hurriyat leader said, “People from different religions living in the region are our brothers. Our movement of self-determination is not confined to Muslims only.”

Syed Ali Gilani maintained that an impression is being created that Kashmiris are against Yatra and Yatris adding that the pilgrims are being treated as guests. Commenting on the reports of massive irregularities in the issue of electoral cards, he added that the officers responsible for including non-state subjects in the electoral rolls would be unmasked soon and dragged to the public court.
