Srinagar, July 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned attacks by Hindu fanatics on Muslims’ houses and shops in Jammu, Rajouri, Samba and Bhadarwah.
Addressing a press conference in Srinagar the APHC Chairman said that Indian agencies in collaboration with Hindu communal parties were acting upon the plans of creating communal discord amongst people of Kashmir adding that the people of Kashmir would not allow such nefarious designs to succeed.
Meanwhile, talking to Amarnath pilgrims at Dalgate in Srinagar, Mirwaiz asked the yatris to be aware of the communal elements portraying that Kashmiris are not in favour of the pilgrimage. “Nobody in Kashmir is against the pilgrimage. You are our guests and we are here to help you in solving your problems.”
Earlier, Mirwaiz while leading a Hurriyet delegation visited the families of two youth Ghani Shaikh and Farooq Ahmad, martyred by the Indian troops and police during the recent protest against the transfer of Kashmiris’ land to non-Kashmiris, and expressed solidarity with the bereaved.
