Srinagar, June 26 (KMS): The Grand Mufti of occupied Kashmir, Muhammad Bashir-ud-Din Ahmad, has issued a fatwa (religious decree) against the illegal transfer of forest land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, asking people to continue peaceful protests against the move.
Presiding over the meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Personal Law Board (JKMPLB) in Srinagar, the Mufti Muhammad Bashir-ud-Din Ahmad pointed out that New Delhi was working on a policy to change the demographic character of occupied Kashmir by settling non-Kashmiris in the territory. He appealed the people to resist such moves with full force.
The Mufti lamented that the puppet administration refused to provide land when they proposed to set up Trans-Islamic Shah-e-Hamdan University. He demanded the puppet regime to curb Hindu fanatic organizations that were stirring religious hatred in occupied Kashmir.
The members of JKMPLB passed a unanimous resolution at the end of the meeting in which land transfer was denounced.
