Srinagar, April 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, glowing tributes were paid to Dr Sir Muhammad Iqbal (RA) on his 70th death anniversary.
Various programmes, functions and seminars were held in the width and breadth of the occupied territory and the speakers on the occasion shed light on the life, poetry and philosophy of the great poet. They urged for the need of following the teachings of Iqbal.
The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq In a statement in Srinagar termed Allama as a revolutionary figure of the 20th century and said that he played a great role in awakening the youth. “In today’s world there is need for making his teachings common for understanding the teachings of Islam,” he added.
