Srinagar, July 30 (KMS): Senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has expressed grave concern over the plight of Kashmiri detainees languishing in different jails of occupied Kashmir and India.
Syed Ali Gilani expressed the concern while talking to mediamen in Srinagar after meeting the detainees lodged in Srinagar Central Jail. He pointed out that the jail authorities were depriving the prisoners of basic necessities including food, medical care and access to their family members and counsels.
The Hurriyet leader appealed to the International organisations including Red Cross, Amnesty International, Asia Watch and the United Nations to send their delegations to take stock of the Human rights violations perpetrated by Indian troops in the territory. He also demanded the transfer of Kashmiri detainees from various Indian jails to the occupied territory so that their relatives could approach them and take necessary steps for their release.
