Forceful anti-India protest demos in Tangmarg

APHC leaders condemn Indian state terrorism

Srinagar, July 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, forceful protest demonstrations were held in Tangmarg, today, against the killing of a civilian by Indian troops, the other day.

The APHC leaders, Shaikh Abdul Aziz and Nayeem Ahmed Khan addressing the demonstrators strongly condemned the killing and appealed to the international community to impress upon India to stop human rights violations in the occupied territory. They deplored that Indian police and troops were harassing in vengeance the people of Kashmir for participating in the recent protests, which resulted in the revocation of the order of transferring Kashmiris’ land to non-Kashmiris.

In Srinagar, Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons staged a silent sit-in at Pratap Park to draw world attention towards the enforced disappearance of thousands of Kashmiris by Indian troops since 1989. Talking to mediamen, leaders of the association said that they had planed to launch massive protests to put pressure on India to reveal the whereabouts of those disappeared in custody.

A trooper was killed and another police personnel injured in an attack at Kralgund in Handwara.
