Srinagar, July 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the pro-freedom leaders and parties have strongly condemned the indiscriminate firing on peaceful demonstrators at Chanapora-Natipora road by Indian troops who were protesting against the killing of innocent youth in last few months in the territory.
Leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) and Chairperson of Muslim Khawateen Markaz Jammu and Kashmir, Yasmeen Raja, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said that India was committing the worst kind of state terrorism in the occupied territory to suppress liberation movement. “The troops indiscriminately sprayed bullets on peaceful demonstrators injuring over a dozen of them,” she added.
The spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi in a statement issued in Srinagar condemned the firing by troopers on unarmed protestors. He said that use of brute tactics could not weaken Kashmiris’ resolve to get freedom from Indian occupation.
Denouncing the use of force by troops on peaceful protestors, the spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front in a statement said that India was committing genocide of Kashmiri people. He appealed the international human rights organisations to impress upon India to stop rights abuses in the territory.
The spokesmen of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, the Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Democratic Freedom Party, Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front-R in their separate statements issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the firing by the troops on peaceful protestors. »
