Shawl hailed efforts of barrister Tramboo
London, July 12 (KMS): The Executive Director of Kashmir Centre London, Professor Nazir Ahmad Shawl welcomed the resolution unanimously passed by the European Parliament in Strasburg on Thursday on the unnamed mass graves recently discovered in occupied Kashmir. The resolution called upon the government of India to ensure independent investigation into these revelations.
In a statement, Shawl lauded Kashmir Centre Executive Director Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo’s efforts in projecting the Kashmir cause in the EU parliament.
He urged India to accept the EU demand to conduct an impartial inquiry into the unnamed graves adding that the resolution should serve as an eye-opener for government of India, which should take cognisance of the fact that Kashmiris’ voice of righteous struggle could not be stifled through continued state terrorism.
World community should also play its role to help stop human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir and compel India to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with Kashmiris’ aspirations, Shawl added.
