Elections in IHK to fortify India’s illegal occupation: Gilani

Srinagar, May 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has emphasised that the so-called elections in presence of seven lakh Indian troops are aimed at strengthening India’s illegal occupation.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Syed Ali Gilani was addressing a public gathering at Jamia Mosque in Kupwara. He said that people should stay away from rallies of all pro-India politicians, adding, casting vote would tantamount to undermining the sacrifices of Kashmiris.

Criticizing pro-India leaders who claim that Kashmiris need roads and other infrastructure, Syed Ali Gilani said that these things could never be a substitute to the right to self-determination. He pointed out that the pro-India parties were trying to befool Kashmiris through hollow slogans of development and said that people should be aware of their nefarious designs.

The Hurriyet leader reiterated Kashmiris’ pledge to continue the liberation struggle till it reaches its logical end.
