Easy travelling between AJK and IHK stressed

Srinagar, February 06 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum (JKDF), Bhushan Bazaz has called upon India and Pakistan to ease restrictions on travel between Srinagar and Muzaffarbad and Poonch and Rawalakot so as to provide relief to thousands of divided families on both sides of border.

After three weeks tour of Jammu province, Bhushan Bazaz, while talking to media persons in Srinagar, observed that much hyped opening of road links between India and Pakistan had been rendered meaningless owing to the complicated system and travel formalities.

Recalling the pledge by the Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh in May 2006 that an atmosphere of free trade and free movement with soft borders will be created, he said despite the fanfare associated with the bus travel, people felt the formalities to undertake the travel were very tedious.
