Resistance day to be observed in IOK tomorrow

The Hurriyet leaders were reacting to the recent statement of Indian Army Chief, Bipin Rawat, wherein he said that protesters in the territory will be dealt with strictly, taking them as over-ground workers of mujahideen. »

Curfew, curbs in valley to thwart Kulgam march

Srinagar, February 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities in their fresh crackdown operations arrested or put under house detention almost all resistance leaders to prevent them from leading a march towards south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, today.

Call for the march was given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to express solidarity with the families of the youth who were martyr
ed by Indian forces on Sunday. Muhammad Yasin Malik was arrested by a police party that raided his Maisuma residence in Srinagar, this morning. He was lodged at Kothi Bagh police station. The occupation authorities put Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Qazi Yasir, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Omar Aadil, Firdous Ahmad Shah and other Hurriyet leaders under house arrest or in custody. »

March towards Kulgam against killings tomorrow

Srinagar, February 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred one more Kashmiri youth and injured many in Bandipore district, today.

The personnel of Indian army, Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operation Group during a siege and search operation killed the youth in Hajin area of the district. Indian police claimed that the youth was killed during an encounter with forces. »

Srinagar, February 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, normal life was crippled by a complete shutdown, today, against the killings of Kashmiri youth by Indian troops in Frisal area of Kulgam district.

Call for the strike was given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik. All shops, commercial establishments, educational institutions, and petrol stations were closed while public transport was off the road in Srinagar and other parts of the Valley. The leadership has also called for a march towards Kulgam on Wednesday against the massacre of the innocent Kashmiri youth. »

Hundreds in Trehgam demand his mortal remains

Srinagar, February 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, normal life remained crippled, today, due to complete shutdown on the martyrdom anniversary of prominent martyred liberation leader, Muhammad Maqbool Butt. He was hanged in New Delhi’s Tihar jail on this day in 1984 and was buried in the premises of the prison.

Call for the strike was given by joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. All shops and business establishments remained closed while traffic was off the road.

The puppet authorities imposed restrictions in Srinagar, Trehgam and other towns by making heavy deployment of Indian troops and police personnel to prevent people from staging anti-India demonstrations. The authorities also continued to put pro-freedom leaders including Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Hilal Ahmed War, Zafar Akbar Butt and Ayaz Akbar under house arrest or in custody to stop them from leading the protests. »

Authorities prevent march towards UN office

Indian troops fired pallets and teargas shells to quell anti-India demonstrations.

Call for the march was given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to urge the World Body to impress upon India to hand over the mortal remains of prominent martyred liberation leaders, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru, to their families. The two leaders were hanged by India in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail and remain buried in the premises of the prison. »

UNSC asked to conduct urgent debate on Kashmir
Srinagar, February 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a two-day protest strike will commence from, tomorrow, in connection with the martyrdom anniversaries of prominent Kashmiri liberation leaders, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru.

Call for the shutdown has been given by joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. A march will be held towards UN office at Sonawar in Srinagar on Friday. While reiterating the demand for the return of mortal remains of the two martyrs buried in the Tihar Jail premises, the leadership flung a jibe at India for violating all the principles of morality by not conceding to the popular demand. »

Shutdown will be observed in IOK on 9th, 11th of February

Srinagar, February 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference has said that Kashmir is an internationally-accepted dispute and deferment of its resolution has made it a bone of contention between Pakistan and India and a constant threat to peace in the South Asian region.

The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said it is because of the Kashmir dispute that India is investing a large amount of budget on arms and ammunitions, while the fact is that majority of Indians are forced to live a miserable life. The APHC condemned the Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s assertions that Jammu and Kashmir was always with India and would remain its part. The statement termed the remarks as egoistic and said that such rhetoric and parroting could not change the reality over the Kashmir dispute. The APHC said it is India that is creating impediments and hurdles in peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute, while Pakistan has always pleaded for its peaceful settlement. »
