ISLAMABAD, Jan 5 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said Kashmir cannot remain on the boil forever and India must be questioned by the international community over the continued sufferings of Kashmiri people.
“The world needs to tell India that enough is enough”, the Prime Minister said at the International Parliamentary Seminar on Kashmir held here, organized by Young Parliamentarians Forum in collaboration with Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

UNITED NATIONS: A top Pakistani diplomat has fervently called for settlement of the decades-old Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan for establishing lasting peace in the region, while denouncing attempts by occupiers to conflate freedom struggles with terrorism.

Speaking at the General Assembly’s committee, Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi, permanent representative of Pakistan to the UN, said the Kashmiri people’s struggle for liberation from illegal occupation was legitimate and they have the right to receive moral and political support from the international community. »

LONDON: A Kashmiri delegation led by UK JKLF president Sabir Gul met the Labour Party’s newly-appointed Shadow Foreign Secretary, Emily Thornberry, in her London office and discussed with her the possibility of reviewing the party policy on Kashmir and its support for the independence movement and to call for the international intervention to curb the growing human rights violations taking place on a daily basis in the Indian-occupied territory.

Besides the JKLF president, the Kashmiri delegation consisted of the president of the J&K Liberation League, Misfar Hussain, President of J&K Freedom Movement Ghulam Hussain, head of the British Kashmiri Women Association Rana Shama Nazir and head of JKLF’s International Political and Diplomatic Campaigns Prof. Azmat A. ISLAMABAD: The national security adviser to the British prime minister, Sir Mark Lyall Grant, spent a busy day here on Monday during which he held meetings with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and other senior government functionaries, including military officials, who stressed the need for the resolution of the Kashmir issue for a lasting peace in the region.

Sir Grant called on the prime minister at the PM House in morning. Mr Sharif said during the meeting that the world community must take note of grave human rights violations and atrocities committed by Indian forces in held Kashmir. »

ISLAMABAD, Oct 20 (APP): Chairman Pakistan Muslim League (N) and member Senate Standing Committee for Kashmir Affairs Raja Zafarul Haq Thursday said after recent tyranny in Indian Occupied Kashmir, there was a growing feeling in the international community to stop India from committing further atrocities.

Talking to APP, he said even in India, except Indian ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), other political parties were criticizing policy of the government in IHK and had rejected the violence against people. »

ISLAMABAD, Oct 20 (APP): Pakistan on Thursday said it would welcome if the United States played a mediatory role with India in resolution of issues, particularly the Kashmir dispute.

“We continue to urge our American friends including those in
the administration to mediate between Pakistan and India,
particularly on Kashmir…and have welcomed this in the past as well,” the Foreign Office Spokesman said in a weekly press briefing held here. »

QUETTA, Oct 20 (APP): Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Chaudhary Muhammad Barjees Tahir said after the martyrdom of Muzzafar Wani, Kashmir movement had got strength and power.

The world had noticed the atrocities of Indian government and Indian army on people of Indian Occupied Kashmir, he said while addressing a seminar “Kashmir Hamari Jan” here Thursday.

He said, “Due to atrocities and violence committed by Indian army during the period from July 8 to October 20, over 200 Kashmiris had embraced martyrdom while over 15000 had suffered injuries in Indian Occupied Kashmir.” »

MUZAFFARABAD: Muslim countries should cast aside their differences and put collective pressure on India to resolve the Kashmir dispute, President Mamnoon Hussain said on Sunday. He made the appeal while talking to a delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference’s (APHC) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) chapter, on Sunday. The delegation was led by Mahmood Sagar and Altaf Bhatt. While talking to the delegation, the president reiterated that peace in the region could only be achieved if there was a permanent settlement of the Kashmir issue.
