Srinagar, April 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, shutdown was observed in Tral and other areas of Pulwama district on the second martyrdom anniversary of Khalid Muzaffar Wani, the brother of martyred Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Burhan Wani.

Indian troops killed Khalid Muzaffar Wani in 2015.

25-year-old Khalid, who was pursuing Masters degree in Political Science from the Indira Gandhi National Open University when he was killed by Indian army on this day in 2015. »

Srinagar, April 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a complete shutdown was observed across the territory against the killing of eight civilians in firing by Indian forces on protesters in Badgam and Ganderbal districts, yesterday.

Eight protesters were killed when the forces opened fire during the voting for sham Indian parliamentary elections in the Srinagar-Budgam constituency on Sunday.

Of these, seven were killed in Badgam and one in Ganderbal district. »

Srinagar, April 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed against the sham Indian parliamentary elections being held for Srinagar constituency, today.

Call for the shutdown was given by joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. Traffic is off the road in the city areas and peripheries while shops and business establishments are also closed.

Srinagar, April 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a complete shutdown was observed in Chadoora and adjacent areas in Badgam district for the sixth consecutive day, today, against the killing of civilians by Indian forces, last week.

All shops and other business establishments were closed in Chadoora, Wathura and Nagam areas while public transport was off the roads.

Hurriyet leaders put under detention

Srinagar, March 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed, today, against the brutal killing of four youth by Indian troops in Chadoora area of Budgam district.

The troops had shot dead three youth Zahid Rashid, Saqib Ahmad and Ashfaq Ahmad by opening fire on demonstrators who had gathered at Chadoora to rescue some youth besieged by the troops, yesterday. Over thirty people had sustained injuries in the troops’ firing on the protesters. Another youth was killed when Indian forces’ personnel blasted a house in the area. »

Many people injured in clashes

Srinagar, March 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Shopian and Pulwama districts in south Kashmir, today, to mourn the killings of two youth by Indian troops in Padampora area of Pulwama, yesterday.

Two youth identified as Rayees Ahmad and Farooq Ahmed Hurrah were killed by Indian forces while they were travelling in a vehicle near Padgampora, Awantipora on Sunday. »
