Ban on Pakistani channels outrageous: Shawl

London, April 25 (KMS): The Executive Director of Kashmir Centre London, Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl has described Indian government’s directions to the cable operators to stop Pakistani channels in occupied Kashmir as sheer frustration.

Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl in a statement in London said the act is outrageous and speaks volumes about the human rights violations taking place in the occupied territory.

Professor Shawl maintained that the Indian government’s promise of zero tolerance against rights abuses had never been practised in occupied Kashmir, adding that the recent disclosure of mass graves was a testimony to the unprecedented iron fisted policy practised by the Indian government and their local cohorts. He hoped that the international community would take serious notice of these violations.
