Srinagar, July 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Shopian-Pulwama journalists association has strongly condemned manhandling of mediapersons by Indian troops and police at Soura in Srinagar on Saturday.
The Journalists guild held a meeting in Pulwama and expressed solidarity with the scribes beaten up mercilessly by the troops while performing their professional duty. The association demanded impartial probe into the incident to bring the guilty to justice.
Meanwhile, four persons including an officer of the Border Security Force (BSF), Sukhdesh Kumar and two children were killed and four others injured when the vehicle, they were travelling in, skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Zojilla on the Srinagar-Leh highway. Two decomposed bodies were recovered who had got buried under avalanches near Mayan in Uri on January 9, 2008.
