APHC reaffirms Kashmiris’ pledge to continue struggle

Elections in IHK intended to mislead world opinion

Srinagar, April 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has reaffirmed Kashmiris’ pledge to continue their struggle till they secure their right to self-determination.

Addressing a large public gathering in the Saidpora area of Srinagar, the APHC Chairman said that India had been perpetrating worst type of state terrorism to suppress Kashmiris’ voice. He urged India to stop without any further delay the custodial killings and forced disappearances.

Expressing deep sorrow and grief over the demise of renowned Kashmiri scholar and former head of Darul Aloom Deuband, Maulana Anzar Shah Kashmiri, Mirwaiz termed it as a great loss for the entire Muslim Ummah.

Addressing another public gathering at Khansahb in Budgam, senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani said that India was holding so-called assembly elections in occupied Kashmir to mislead world opinion. He urged India to adopt a realistic approach to resolve the Kashmir dispute.

In Srinagar, hundreds of people including a large number of women took to the streets to protest against the beating of a youth by Indian police personnel. Similar protest demonstration was held in Budgam.
