No peace in SA without Kashmir solution
Srinagar, July 14 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyet Conference has decided to take further measures towards a broad-based unity amongst pro-movement leaders and organizations in occupied Kashmir.
The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting in Srinagar today, which was presided over by the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. Those who participated in the meeting included Maulana Abbas Ansari, Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, Bilal Ghani Lone and Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi.
The APHC leaders emphasised that efforts to pressurize India to resolve the Kashmir dispute would be accelerated and all those working towards a just settlement of the dispute would be invited to join the Hurriyet. The leaders pointed out that peace and stability in South Asia would remain elusive till the conflict over Kashmir is settled in accordance with Kashmiris’ aspirations.
Meanwhile, in Srinagar, the APHC held a protest sit-in at Press Colony against the continued human rights violations by Indian troops in the occupied territory. Addressing the protesters on the occasion, the APHC leaders welcomed the recent resolution of the European Parliament regarding the discovery of unnamed mass graves in occupied Kashmir.
