Srinagar, August 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference has announced its plan to cross the Line of Control to meet the challenge posed by the economic blockade by the Hindu communal groups.
The announcement was made by the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a press conference in Srinagar. Earlier, he presided over an extraordinary meeting of the Hurriyet leaders in which the prevalent situation of the territory was discussed in detail.
The APHC Chairman describing the economic blockade as an act of aggression against Kashmiris supported the call of Kashmir Traders Federation for exploring alternative trade routes. He said that a day after August 15 would be fixed when the people of Kashmir under the banner of the APHC would cross the LoC with the goods to export. Mirwaiz hoped that the people and the Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir would come forward in a big way to help the people of the Valley by crossing the LoC from the other side on the same day with essential commodities particularly the life saving drugs. The APHC Chairman said that on this day the people from Jammu would also cross the LoC towards Rawlakot. He added that Kashmir diaspora would organise programmes on that day to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
Mirwaiz asked the communal forces of Jammu that if they wanted to form a separate Dogra Desh, they were free to do so, carving it out of two districts Jammu and Kathua besides half of Udhampur in Jammu region.
The APHC Chairman earnestly urged the international community particularly the United Nations and the OIC to come to the rescue of the people of Kashmir in this hour of trial. He asked Kashmiris to pay attention towards self-reliance in the economic field and lead a life of frugality.
