Srinagar, April 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, hundreds of people including women held a protest demonstration in Srinagar against the beating of a youth Sajad Ahmad Butt by Indian police personnel.
The relatives of Sajad said that the Special Operation Group (SOG) personnel dragged Sajad from his home and thrashed him without any provocation, adding that Sajad was unconscious for hours as he was hit in his head.
Protest strike was observed in Fateh Kadal against the Indian state terrorism.
Pointing towards his injuries, Sajad told media men, “I was heading towards Life Insurance office for some work when the Special Operation Group personnel grabbed and severely thrashed me without any provocation near Zaldagar. They even pointed their guns at me and threatened to kill me.”
Sajad who has served four years in jail and presently working with a local cable operator, said there is no end to his harassment at the hands of SOG and other military agencies.
Similar protest demonstration was also held in Budgam against the arrest of an innocent Kashmiri youth by Indian troops on fake charges.
