Concern expressed over Shabbir’s deteriorating health
Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown, marked by anti-India demonstrations, continued for the second consecutive day, today, in Awantipora area of Pulwama. Raising pro-liberation slogans people took to the streets in the area in protest against the killing of a youth by Indian troops.
All shops and business establishments remained closed while traffic was off the road.
On the other hand, a high level delegation of China met the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in Geneva. It was apprised of the latest situation of the occupied territory and was told that India was the main impediment in resolving the Kashmir dispute through talks.
The Acting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Muhammad Abdullah Tari talking to mediamen in Srinagar, expressed serious concern over the continued illegal detention and deteriorating health of senior Hurriyet leader, Shabbir Ahmed Shah.
The occupation authorities have banned the broadcast of news bulletins of two local channels JK Super and San. The ban was imposed on the channels by the occupation authorities following the coverage of the atrocities committed by Indian police in Sopore on March 16.
