89 Indian troops commit suicide since January 2007
Srinagar, May 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh acts of state terrorism, martyred three more innocent Kashmiris including a woman at two different places.
Of those martyred, dead bodies of a husband and wife were recovered from the debris of a residential house destroyed by the troops with heavy mortar shelling at Khandipura in Doda. Another youth was shot dead in Haihama area of Kupwara.
Talking to mediamen in Srinagar, senior APHC leader, Shaikh Abdul Aziz strongly condemned the killings and deplored stepped up Indian state terrorism. He appreciated Amnesty International’s recent report calling for an impartial and immediate probe into the discovery of unnamed mass graves. The APHC leader appealed to the international community to exert pressure on India to stop human rights violations in the occupied territory.
On the other hand, an Indian trooper committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle inside an army camp in Rajouri town, taking the death toll of such killings among Indian troops to 89 since January 2007. A trooper was injured in an attack in Keran.
